The Edge: "Debut" release, Live '84, available on Driving Records
It's taken nearly 25 years... the "debut" album from The Edge, Live '84, has
arrived via Driving Records. I contacted my bud Alex Cuthbert, the drummer
from my old band Skeleton who also controls Driving Records, and we've come to
an agreement for all Edge-related stuff to be issued on that label.
Now, for those of you who think this may be some slick production or that we've
gone all rock-star... relax, already!! What this boils down to is we've found some
old stuff and thought it'd be cool to make it available. This particular recording
is taken from a show which we did in November, 1984 at The Blue-Tic Tavern
(now the Side-Pocket Pub) in WVU's Mountainlair.
Recorded by Robert Bowers/Squirrel Sound, Live '84 is twelve tunes basically
captured straight through the sound board... raw and rockin'!! The track list is:
1) Looks That Kill, 2) Hot Rockin', 3) I Wanna Rock, 4) Rock You Like a
Hurricane, 5) Never Let It Be Said (original), 6) Love Bites, 7) Bad Boys Running
Wild, 8) Seeds of Sedition (original), 9) Eruption, 10)Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,
11) Balls to the Wall, and (12) Heaven and Hell.
