Gene Simmons to speak at conference
Kiss co-founder, reality TV star and entrepreneur
Gene Simmons will be the Keynote Q&A for the 5th
Annual Billboard Touring Conference, set for Nov.
19-20 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. Ray
Waddell will conduct the Q&A with Simmons on Nov.
20 at the Roosevelt Ballroom. The Q&A will be
filmed for an episode of his A&E reality show "Gene
Simmons Family Jewels," currently in its third season.

Bon Jovi gearing up for '09
With the final leg of Bon Jovi's Lost Highway tour
completed, guitarist Richie Sambora tells Billboard.com the
New Jersey rock act is looking ahead to plenty of new
projects. "We've been filming a documentary and are in the
process of mixing a live DVD of last year's Lost Highway
concert tour," Sambora says. "Also, I think we're looking at
doing a greatest hits album next year. Jon and I are
writing some new songs for it and to just load up for the
next Bon Jovi record." Sambora says he expects the DVD
and best-of effort to be packaged together for a fall 2009
street date. Outside of Bon Jovi, Sambora is staying active
with various extracurricular opportunities. Not only did he
recently join B.B. King on stage in Chicago for the taping of
a PBS special, but he will take part in a Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame and Museum Tribute concert for Les Paul Saturday
(Nov. 15) at the State Theatre in Cleveland.

Twisted Sister to release live CD/DVD
On November 18th, Twisted Sister releases "Live At The Astoria," a special twin-disc
CD/DVD that marks the first commercially-released, uncensored Twisted Sister
concert in over 25 years. This very special concert was taped in London in 2004, and is
hailed by critics as the band's greatest live triumph in its' 35-year career. Twisted
Sister are hosting an intimate DVD screening party on Friday, November 21st at
Webster Hall, from 8-10PM (not in the main space, but in the room on the ground
floor, just after you enter the venue). The classic lineup of Dee Snider, Jay Jay
French, Eddie Ojeda, Mark Mendoza and A.J. Pero will be in attendance, and there will
be drink specials from Jagermeister. The event is open to the general public.
Admittance is $5, or free if you say the password: Live at The Astoria. Admittance is
subject to venue capacity.

Hanoi Rocks biography highlights colorful career
Like Publishing Ltd. will publish Hanoi Rocks' biography in April 2009. The
biography features years 1979-1985, till the end of a "first era", the
death of a drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley. The book is based on
interviews with Hanoi Rocks members, their crew and their closest
friends, who tell in their own words about the band's beginnings, touring,
love and hate inside the band and the eternal flame which fed the
band's fiery journey. After the biography is released, Hanoi Rocks will
play the last gigs of their long and colorful career in Helsinki, Tavastia,
where it all started from back in 1979. Hanoi Rocks announced in
October, that they will break up by the end of the year 2008.
