Rockin' News for Week of Oct. 13
Tracii Guns & Steven Adler to form new band
There is the new super group that has been formed
by former members of the Guns N' Roses family of
bands. A member of the group tells antiMusic that
the project is named Guns of Destruction and they
will make their live debut later this year. The band
features former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven
Adler, the Guns in the original Guns N' Rose Tracii
Guns (LA Guns/Brides of Destruction) as well as Chip
Z'nuff (Enuff Z'nuff / Missing Persons / Adler's
Appetite).

One from the "Somebody Needs to Get a Real Job" Dept.
Jon Bon Jovi is being sued for 400 billion bucks by a
Boston musician who says the singer allegedly borrowed
lyrics from his Boston Red Sox anthem entitled, "(Man I
Really) Love This Team." Samuel Bartley Steele, the
front man for a band calling themselves "The Chelsea
City Council", believes Bon Jovi heard his song while
campaigning in Boston for John Kerry in '04, then used
the lyrics in his own song entitled, "I Love This Town." A
Bon Jovi spokesperson says they haven't seen the lawsuit
yet. Incidently, Jon Bon Jovi has about a gazillion hits
that he has composed all by himself as the leader of Bon
Jovi and as a solo artist... I don't think he's sweating it.

And now from the "I'll Believe It When I See It" Dept.
More than a decade after its conception, Guns N' Roses'
Chinese Democracy will finally see the light of day before
year's end, sources close to the situation confirm to Billboard.
As first reported here, the set will be a Best Buy exclusive and
will be available Sunday, Nov. 23, rather than the usual
Tuesday. In the run-up to release date, album track
"Shackler's Revenge" will debut in the video game "Rock Band
2," while a portion of "If the World" is playing over the end
credits in the new Leonardo DiCaprio/Russell Crowe film "Body of
Lies." In addition, GNR's seminal 1987 debut, Appetite for
Destruction, will be reissued on vinyl on Oct. 28 via Interscope.
