Ruch Limbaugh: "Good American" or self-serving
blowhard?
Limbaugh, conservatives "happy" with Olympic decision

By Thom Copher (Democrat, Liberal, American)
First off, let me say this: I am all about free speech and criticism (within bounds, mind you) as to
what may be set forth for this great country in which I live, The United States of America.  It is
this type of discourse, as I see it, which checks powers and makes things right.  That in mind, there
is also the absurd where banter crosses the line and goes beyond simple right and wrong and, thus,
becomes mindless gibberish which clearly becomes political ballyhoo for ones' affiliation.

You may have heard that President Obama's push to secure Chicago as the site for the 2016 Olympics
fell short of the mark.  Well, you can't fault the leader of this US of A for giving it a shot.  Yeah,
there are a ton of matters which he may have put his energies into.  This was, however, a one-off
deal to promote the US on a world stage.  We tried, it didn't work... let's move on.

Enter, stage RIGHT, Rush Limbaugh.  Need we forget that El-Rushbo has been staunch in his
affirmation that he hopes that Obama's Administration fails.  There's some real bi-partisan patriotism
for ya.  His elation that The Windy City will not play host to the '12 Games is less newsworthy than it is preictible.  Yes... Rush, the “Good
American,” has gone on record to denounce what would be a huge international shot in the arm to reconstruct the ruin which “his” party has
left this administration... not to mention the American people... to deal with.

Thanks, Rush, thanks for this breath of reality which supplements your daily comedic offerings which set the record straight.  It is you who,
rather than documenting the virtues of your own “good conservatives,” must bash “the libs,” conveying that we the people have been
brainwashed by the “drive-by media,” thus, our falling victims to the contrived messiah-isms that is Obama.  Ooh yes, this is all part of
Obama's plan to take over the world!  Where would we be without your insight, Rush?

Truth be told... Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Fox News and all of their tentacled minions are a dangerous bunch.  Their efforts are less aimed
at reporting the truth than they are at promoting their own twisted agenda and to get people to repeatedly hear their names.  There is a
certain degree of safety, too, which these goons are afforded with their celebrity; the nature of their slanderous comments would, in all
essence, be punishable by execution in many societies.

Shame, shame, shame on you, Mr. Limbaugh and your pundits.  What you promote is less “American-ism” than it is a witch-hunt to root out all
which goes against your grain.  You are one step away from Nazi-ism which, to its supporters at the time, sounded like a good plan.  Fact is,
you and your pals are nothing more than bullies in high-priced threads.
